Getting started

From install to your first blur in under two minutes.

1. Install the extension

Install BlurSite from the Chrome Web Store (link coming with the extension launch). It works on Chrome, Edge, Brave, Vivaldi, and Opera.

2. Activate your license

After purchase you receive a license key like BM-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX by email. Open the extension popup, paste the key, and click Activate. You can manage it from your dashboard. Lost it? Use license recovery.

3. Blur anything

  • Click blur — click the extension icon, then hover any element and click to blur it.
  • Area blur — draw a rectangle over any region of the page.
  • Keep blur — toggle “Keep” to persist your blurs for that URL across reloads and visits.
  • Intensity — adjust the blur strength slider; “Clear all” removes every blur on the page.

Managing devices

Your plan includes a fixed number of active browsers. To move to a new machine, open Dashboard → License & devices and deactivate the old browser — the slot frees up instantly.

Troubleshooting

  • Blur not showing in Zoom/Meet? Make sure you are sharing the browser window or screen — the blur is part of the page, so it always transmits.
  • “Activation limit reached”? Deactivate an unused device from your dashboard.
  • Anything else — contact support.
