How to Hide Revenue and Analytics When Screen Sharing YouTube Studio

Show your YouTube Studio workflow on a stream or call without revealing earnings, RPM, or subscriber numbers. A step-by-step guide.

Creators screen share YouTube Studio all the time: teaching a thumbnail workflow, reviewing a video with an editor, or walking a sponsor through audience data. The problem is that Studio puts your estimated revenue, RPM and channel totals on nearly every page. Those numbers are nobody’s business but yours, and they’re a lot harder to take back once they’re in a recording.

What usually needs hiding

  • Estimated revenue and RPM/CPM cards on the Analytics overview and Revenue tabs.
  • Subscriber and view totals, if you’d rather not share exact figures.
  • Comments and community posts that show viewers’ names and profile pictures.
  • Your channel email and account menu in the top-right corner.

Step by step with BlurSite

  1. Open YouTube Studio in Chrome, Edge, Brave, Vivaldi or Opera and go to the page you plan to share.
  2. Click the BlurSite icon, then hover over the revenue card and click it. The whole card blurs.
  3. For charts or parts of tables, use area blur and drag a rectangle over just the region you want hidden.
  4. Turn on Keep so the blurs come back automatically the next time you open that Studio page.
  5. Start your screen share or recording as usual. Everyone sees the blurred version.

Why not just crop it in editing?

Cropping or masking in post works for a recorded video, but it does nothing for a live stream or a call. It also means scrubbing through the timeline every time the chart moves. Blurring in the browser covers both at once: what the audience sees live is what ends up in the recording.

Adjust how strong the blur is

A light blur can still let people guess the shape of a number. Push the intensity slider up until digits are unreadable. When you’re done, Clear all removes every blur on the page.
